The Council for Ecumenical Student Christian Ministry is composed of one denominational staff and two college/university students from participating denominations, including the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Episcopal Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Presbyterian Church (USA), The United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ.
We share in the vision of the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF). Begun in 1895, the WSCF has long been a training ground for Christian leadership in the world. At its 1995 General Assembly in Côte D’Ivoire, the CESCM affiliated as a member movement, joining student Christian movements from more that 80 countries

CESCM Update
At our last meeting, from Thursday, September 13 through Sunday, September 16, we, the Council for Ecumenical Student Christian Ministry, began the process of strategic planning, reevaluating our goals and our work as a ministry. During this time, we redefined our organization. Over the course of four days we gave CESCM a new look, a new direction, and a new vision. This “new” CESCM is still in the process of reforming itself, but is now a completely student-led ecumenical ministry in the United States with two students representing each participating denomination: the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Episcopal Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Presbyterian Church (USA), The United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ. As a council, we will continue our relationship with the Higher Education Ministry Arena (HEMA), a table made of staff members from each denomination.
Sabbath
All too often, we become so bombarded with all of our obligations that we hardly have time to breath. Robert Thomas Quiring realized that we need to take time for ourselves anyway.

Dear Readers...
During the college years, it's easy to find yourself very focused on your career path, getting into med-school, law school, or dental school. Jason Bolton dares to talk about the real meaning behind a college student's journey.
