Consider New Careers in Health care

Employment help can come through returning to school. A health care career is worth considering as an option for returning to school. Even though health care agencies have seen cutbacks due to rising costs and regulations, this industry is still one that provides stable employment with decent salaries. Consider a nursing as a "new" career. The person who has been laid off from a professional job in the corporate or private sector might consider a job as a registered nurse. Registered nurses earn very good money. The education and training to become a registered nurse can be as little as two years at a community college, junior college or hospital based training program. The rewards for earning the credential are great with registered nurses enjoying starting salaries of about $40,000 per year. By some standards this might not be a high salary, but nurses salaries rise with experience and with clinical specializations. Of course there is also the option of earning a bachelor's or master's degree in this field and earn even more money with high levels of responsibility. Other "new" careers to consider in the health sector include physical therapy assistant or physical therapist, certified nursing assistant, or lab technician. Like nursing each of these careers offers stability and a good salary. Careers Home
